Selena Sage was born and raised in Austin, Texas. After graduating from the LBJ Science Academy in Austin, Selena graduated from the Honors Program of Engineering and Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL with degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business. She has worked as a corporate executive, at companies including Motorola and Google, for many years in a variety of business roles. However, Selena has been deeply inspired by Zen and Taoist philosophies, which she began studying at age ten. Living in the moment has brought Selena great peace, and she decided to focus on writing in her spare time to help others find it too. Selena wrote Meditative Questions while traveling around Asia in March of 2015. Based on journal writings from Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and Bali, her first book, Meditative Questions, is beautiful, approachable, and thought-provoking. The colors provide a full sensory experience while the questions are transformative. Selena wrote her second book, unbreakable, after living on a Muay Thai Camp in Thailand for a month in 2016. unbreakable is a reflective book of short poems. The poems serve as a vehicle to question to every thought and every thing. The path is letting go, and the destination is freedom. In keeping with the theme of freedom, Selena’s third book, Get Free: 7 Simple Steps to Free Your Mind & Live Your Dreams, is a guide to help others determine what they want and chart a path to get there. With brief stories from her own life + practical exercises, Get Free is easy to digest, and life-changing if care is given to the exercises.
Selena Sage now resides in Cabo Verde, Africa. She is a strong advocate for children, equality, and peace.
